Non La Vietnamese

Non La is located in Surry Hills, near the corner of Moore Park. Ordering at this place was kind-of an ordeal, the waiter didn't like what we ordered and chose other things for us, I tried reversing this however trying to negotiate with this chick who barely spoke English was exhausting and I finally gave in. What we ended up with was beef rolls which we were required to roll on our own, lemongrass chicken and a fried squid dish. The serving size was gigantic, we probably could have gotten away with splitting a single dish and appetizer. Other then the pain of ordering here, this place was worth trying.

Queenies

Tonight I made it over to a restaurant called Queenie's on the edge between Darlinghurst and Surry Hills. I'm not sure where they came up with the name or what it actually indicates, but the style of the restaurant is Jamaican. The walls were covered will really random stuff, like this tiger with a pig on top of its head.

Spider Friend

After coming home from the bar tonight I found a new visitor in my apartment. I was warned about this type of stuff in Australia, but this was my first face to face encounter. I'm not sure what type it was, but I know it was 4-5 inches across. It gladly posed while I took some glamor shots and then crawled into the abyss. From now on I will be thoroughly checking my shoes every morning.
